Recognizing that video skills are more important than ever in today’s media jobs, the Guild is offering free training in Premiere Pro.

Each session is three full days over a weekend. Space is available for a total of 16 students. All equipment is provided. Please note that if you register for a session, you are committing yourself to ALL THREE DAYS. Each day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

Training will take place at New York Guild headquarters at 1500 Broadway in Times Square. Guild members who sign up will be asked for a deposit of $100, which will be fully refunded upon completion of the course. The deposit is an incentive to ensure that everyone who registers for the course attends.

Every student will get hands-on experience learning how to shoot and edit video utilizing Premiere Pro under the direction of acclaimed instructor Jim Talluto. A retired CBS video editor, Jim has earned high praise over many years of teaching video editing as the technology has evolved. “Everyone loved it” and felt confident in their skills at the end of the week, said a Portland, Maine Guild member who took the course. A colleague said that in addition to learning how to “edit video with many different techniques, the class was just so much fun.”
