Delegates, alternates nominated for 2015 TNG Sector Conference

Eight delegates and eight alternates to the upcoming 2015 Sector Conference of The Newspaper Guild-CWA were nominated by New York’s Representative Assembly on Tuesday night. The Sector Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida from Jan. 14 to 18.

Additional written nominations for delegates and alternates may be made by any member in good standing as of Nov. 1.  Self-nominations are permitted, and seconds are required. Such written nominations and seconds must be signed by a member in good standing and sent to Secretary-Treasurer Peter Szekely at the Guild by 6 p.m. on Nov. 19. They can be sent by U.S. Postal Service, overnight mail, fax at 212-730-1531 or by email (as long as the sender attaches a letter signed by a member in good standing for each nomination and for each second) or by hand to the attention of Secretary-Treasurer Peter Szekely, Newspaper Guild of New York, 1500 Broadway Suite 900, New York NY 10036. 

If no additional write-in nominations are made by that time, the nominees will be declared elected.  In the event of a contest, the election shall be supervised by the Local Elections Committee under the rules adopted by the Representative Assembly on Oct. 21.
