2026 New York City Labor Day Rally & March

The 2026 New York City Labor Day Rally & March is happening on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and we’re marching for journalism, for free speech, and all the ways democracy depends on us!

It’s a different program this year, featuring a 5 p.m. rally between Church Street and Broadway, followed by march for Labor Day that kicks off at 6 p.m. Part of the rally program will include a 25th anniversary tribute to the workers of 9/11.

We will meet our CWA District One siblings at Zuccotti Park (in the Financial District between Broadway, Trinity Place, Liberty Street and Cedar Street) starting at 4:30 p.m.  This is close by to many of our shops, including Insider, People, Conde, SI and more.

ALL are invited! Come pickup a red Guild t-shirt, or wear your own with pride, bring you kids, partners, spouses and anyone who wants to show their solidarity. It is always fun and meaningful as we gather and march in solidarity with thousands of union members from across the city.
