Guild Event | Summer Membership Meeting

Join us on Wednesday, June 20, for our Summer Membership Meeting here at the Guild. This is a great opportunity for you to come and make your voice heard! Bring your questions and your colleagues to join in the conversation.

Keynote speaker and Guild member Reade Levinson was an integral part of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize-winning team that garnered the honor for International Reporting. Reade was responsible for cataloguing and analyzing thousands of Philippine police blotters, which helped expose an secretive police squad responsible for killing dozens of citizens as part of President Duterte’s war on drugs.

This year, in addition to honoring the Keenan Award winner, the Guild will celebrate some of our longest serving members and welcome our newly-organized colleagues from Mic.com, The New Republic and the UAW.

Local President Grant Glickson and Secretary-Treasurer Vincent Mallozzi will be on hand to provide local-wide updates and answer your questions.

Then, let’s celebrate!

So mark your calendars and come discuss what’s important to the Guild, your colleagues and our industry!

More details to come, but in the meantime, RSVP HERE. We look forward to seeing you there.

About Reade
Reade Levinson joined Reuters News as a data and enterprise reporter in 2016. Her recent work cataloguing and analyzing thousands of Philippine police blotters helped expose a secretive police squad responsible for killing dozens of citizens as part of Duterte’s war on drugs and helped Reuters win a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting this year. On the immigration beat, her analysis has uncovered unannounced policy changes and revealed disparities in deportation rates among immigration judges. As a student at Stanford University, she wrote articles that revealed graduate housing contaminated with lead, botched Title IX investigations, and a rape by freshman Brock Turner, later sentenced to prison for sexual assault. She grew up in the Bay Area of California.
