Open nominations meeting to be held on September 22

At the Unit Council nominations meeting held yesterday at the Time Inc. Guild office, longtime Guild Membership Chairperson Alex Blanco of the Sports Illustrated News Bureau was nominated to become the next Unit Chairperson, succeeding John Shostrom, also of SI, who has served two terms as Chair. 

Next Wednesday, September 22, at 1 p.m. in room 4355D, there will be a second nominating meeting, open to all Guild members in good standing as of September 1. 

At that meeting, the Unit Council slate will be officially nominated, and further nominations may be made by Guild members, either as individuals or as a competing slate of candidates. The Guild welcomes all of its members to come to the September 22 meeting. 

Following is a list of the Unit Council slate.
