Unit Officers Nominated
The Unit Council Slate (below) was officially placed into nomination at a Unit membership meeting today.
Additional nominations of candidates may be made by written petition signed by not less than 10 percent of the unit membership. These petitions must be in the hands of the Unit Chairperson, and copies must be in the hands of the Secretary-Treasurer of The Newspaper Guild of New York, not later than seven days after the unit nominations meeting, no later than 5 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2007. If there is a contest, the election will be by mail ballot. Otherwise, the Unit Council Slate will be declared elected.
