Candidate slate nominated

for unit offices at Reuters

The following slate of candidates for Reuters unit offices, endorsed by the current Reuters Unit Council, was placed in nomination at a membership meeting in Washington on Sept. 18 and presented to members at a meeting in New York City and elsewhere (via telephone) on Sept. 19. No other nominations were made at those meetings. All terms run three years and begin Nov. 1. Additional nominations of candidates may be made by written petitions, signed by not less than 10 percent of the unit members in good standing as of Sept. 1. These petitions must be in the hands of Unit Chair Debby Zabarenko with copies to New York Newspaper Guild Secretary-Treasurer Peter Szekely by 5 p.m. EDT on Sept. 26 (See Rules for Nomination and Election of Unit Officers).

If no opposing nominations are made by 5 p.m. on Sept. 26, the Unit Council-endorsed slate below will be declared elected.
