A.

A 40-hour workweek

 

Our standard 35-hour workweek, which is in our contract

No guaranteed raises

Guaranteed cost-of-living and pay increases, which are in our contract

No obligation to consult with the Guild before changing medical benefits, which is in the contract

An obligation to negotiate any changes in medical benefits

Limited severance pay for job-eliminated employees

An increase in current severance pay for job-eliminated employees

No guaranteed notice pay

Notice pay commensurate with years of service, which is in our contract

No severance pay for terminated employees

Severance pay commensurate with years of service, which is in our contract

No 50% or 75% tuition reimbursement

An increase in the current reimbursement to reflect rising tuition costs

A 40% cut in holiday pay

Holiday pay at the existing double time and a half

No meal money, even when traveling on company business

An increase in current meal allowance

No on-call beeper/cellphone pay

An increase in on-call pay and the inclusion of “BlackBerry” duty”

No sabbaticals

Greater than the current percentages of pay while on sabbatical
