Unit Officers Declared Elected

 

Art Mulford has been declared elected as the new Guild Times Unit Chairperson and Ronnie Munder has also been declared elected, as the Unit’s new Assistant Treasurer.  Both of them will assume office on Monday, October 31. 

 

In accordance of the local election rules of the Newspaper Guild of New York, both candidates, who had been nominated at both a Unit Council Meeting and a special Unit Membership Meeting, were declared elected after no opposing candidates filed a petition by the required deadline.  Had there been a contest, both Mulford and Munder would have run as candidates of the Democratic Coalition Slate.   

 

Unit Meeting

Regarding Staff Reductions 

 

The Guild will be meeting with the Times late today to receive details concerning the staff reductions that were announced by the Times several days ago. 

 

A special informational Guild Unit Membership Meeting concerning the staff reductions will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 7 at 1 p.m. The Unit Meeting will take place at Guild Headquarters, 1501 Broadway, Suite 708. Guild officers and representatives will report fully on the meeting with the company.
