Raise Your Voice in the Health Care Reform Dialogue!

 

Join the Largest National Rally and Lobby Day
for Universal Health Care in U.S. History!

 

On June 25th, the Guild, its parent union, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and thousands of union activists and health care advocates will gather in Washington to demand substantial health care reform that works for all.  CWA members from across the country will join on the National Mall with Health Care for America Now, the largest progressive coalition working for health care reform, and with our brothers and sisters from other unions. Together we will rally, march and make hundreds of lobby visits as part of the largest-ever health care lobby day.  This summer, our representatives in Congress will try to craft the way we will fix our broken health care system.  If you can’t be in Washington to guide their efforts, then don’t miss your opportunity to raise your voice in support of guaranteed quality health care for everyone.  Guild members will be delivering letters to the offices of our elected representatives from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  Please take the time to hand-write or type a letter of support today – the more personal, the better.  If you would like to participate, you can use the attached sample letter to Senator Schumer, Senior member of the Senate Finance Committee and the Subcommittee on Health Care, as a guide for correspondence with your state representative.  To see the CWA’s lobbying packet for more details, visit http://files.cwa-union.org/Legislative/09061_Health_Care_Brief.pdf.
