Reminder--

General Membership Meeting July 1

 

           A General Membership Meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Guild Headquarters, located in Suite 708, 1501 Broadway (between 43^rd and 44^th Streets), New York City.

 

           The meeting’s agenda will include the presentation of the New York Guild’s annual Tom Keenan Guild Service Award to New York Times Unit Treasurer Nancy Bachrach, as well as a report on the CWA Convention in Las Vegas.  President Bill O’Meara and Secretary-Treasurer Peter Szekely will also give reports. 

 

           Refreshments will be served.

 

Lecour Joins Executive Committee

 

Lan Lecour, Assistant Treasurer at the Standard & Poor’s unit, is the newest member of our Local’s Executive Committee (EC). 

 

Filling a vacancy on the EC, Lecour was the only nominee for the seat at the June 17^th Representative Assembly meeting.  She was declared elected to the seat at the close of business June 25, when no opposing contestants had been nominated via Guild-member petition. 

 

Had there been a contest, Lecour would have run as a candidate of The Democratic Coalition Slate.
