Local launches effort
to overhaul Web site
The New York Guild took its first step toward overhauling its Web site (nyguild.org) on Tuesday by asking members what information they would like the site to provide and to suggest ideas for features that the new site should have.
Emails with links to a Web-based survey about preferences and suggestions for our new site were sent to most members. Surveys were mailed to the homes of the relatively few members who could not be reached by email.
If you did not receive an email with a survey link or a mailed paper copy of the survey, please send us an email at nyguild@aol.com or call us at 212-575-1580.
“The goal is to have a first-rate Web site that befits our role as the representative of some of the country’s most talented news employees working in the media capital of America,” said Guild President Bill O’Meara.
Overseeing the Web site redesign will be a rank-and-file dominated committee made up of Sarah Graham (Times Digital), Karen Rohan (Foreign Policy Association) and Andy Sullivan (Reuters). O’Meara and Guild Secretary-Treasurer Peter Szekely also will serve on the panel, which will select a Web designer for the project.
