Executive Committee Members Elected

As a result of the retirement of N.Y. Guild President Barry Lipton, the election of former Secretary-Treasurer Bill O’Meara as his successor, and the election of former Local Chairperson Peter Szekely to fill Bill’s former post, four members of our Executive Committee moved up to higher EC offices, in a special election, having been nominated for their new seats by our Representative Assembly (RA).  Another RA nominee joined the Committee for the first time.

Art Mulford (N.Y. Times Unit Chairperson), formerly our First Vice President, took the post of Local Chairperson.  Karen Rohan (Foreign Policy Association Unit Chair) moved from Second VP to First.  Ed Fannon (S&P Unit Chair) stepped up to Second from Third, and Newsweek Chair Myra Kreiman, formerly a regular member of the EC, became our Third VP.

Alanna Stone (WQXR Chairperson) joined the Committee for the first time, filling Myra’s regular seat.

All five candidates were declared elected to their new posts May 29, when no additional nominees came forward via membership petition by that deadline.
