Balal Ahmad Memorial Tribute

January 6, 1-3pm

 

           A memorial service for former Newspaper Guild Unit chairperson of the Hudson News Unit will be held Saturday, January 6^th from 1pm to 3pm at Guild Headquarters, located in Suite 708, 1501 Broadway (between 43^rd and 44^th Streets), New York City.

 

Balal, who also served on the Local’s Executive Committee and attended several Newspaper Guild and Communication Workers of America conventions as an elected delegate, passed away suddenly at the age of 57 on November 18 of a heart attack. 

 

Balal’s coworkers at Hudson News, their family members, as well as the other friends he made in the New York Guild, are all invited to attend and pay respects to our friend.
