DEMOCRATIC COALITION SLATE ELECTED

LIPTON WINS TENTH TERM

The entire Democratic Coalition Slate of Local Officers and Executive Committee members, headed by New York Guild President Barry Lipton, Secretary-Treasurer Bill O’Meara, and Local Chairperson Peter Szekely (Reuters) was declared elected to a three-year term yesterday, when no opposing candidates had come forward by the 6:00 p.m. filing deadline that day:

The group had been the unanimous choice of New York’s Representative Assembly, which nominated the ticket October 26.  Their term will officially begin January 2.

Lipton, winning election to the New York Guild’s top job for the tenth time, said: “I am deeply grateful to the membership for putting its confidence in us again.  Bill, Peter, and I, and the rest of our team pledge to continue to do our best for you.”
