We are pleased to announce that we have arranged for a special new
benefit, an “individual Long Term Care Insurance Program”, for members in
good standing of the New York Guild. This
program will enable our members to purchase quality Long Term Care Insurance at
a special group rate, through The Prudential Insurance Company of New York.
Many of us have had to deal with the need to arrange for either nursing home or specialized home care for a parent, spouse, or other family member, only to find out how overwhelming the costs for such are can be. In the New York Metropolitan Area, the average cost for semi-private nursing home care is now averaging $330 per day and home health care by home health aides averages $15-$17 per hour!
The special
Individual Long Term Care Insurance Program that we are able to offer to our
members makes quality insurance coverage available that will pay as much as $350
per day for nursing home care, at a special discounted group rate.
Preferred health discounts are also available.
This special discounted coverage is available for eligible Guild members,
as well as their spouses, domestic partners, parents, in-laws, grandparents,
grandparents-in-law, siblings, and children ages 18 and older.
